What Do You Watch??

With things like DVR and On-Demand options, I find myself watching even more TV shows than before.  Before I start posting any of my impressions of episodes I've recently watched, I might as well list some of the shows that I watch (the list will not be exhaustive).  My primary shows are the ones I tend to watch week by week and generally look forward to watching.  My secondary shows are ones that I will watch to tide me over in between episodes of my primary shows.  Basically, these kinds of shows aren't that exciting to me, but I watch them more out of habit than anything else.  Finally, I have a group of shows that I call my reserves; these are formerly secondary shows that have gotten a bit boring or dramas that I can't be bothered to watch regularly.  I usually dip into the reserves when I'm in the mood for a drama, anticipate having a lot of time that I need to fill (such as a long flight), or need something to watch while I work on something (such as writing stories).  I tend to not follow the story as closely with my reserves because I will  be doing something else while they are on.  It's not that I dislike these shows, but they invoke my ADD tendencies.  Anyway, here's an idea of my taste in shows:

Primary
  • Parks and Recreation (NBC)
  • How I Met Your Mother (CBS)
  • Community (NBC)
  • Regular Show (Cartoon Network)
  • New Girl (FOX)
  • Adventure Time (Cartoon Network)
  • The Simpsons (FOX)
  • The Cleveland Show (FOX)
  • Family Guy (FOX)
  • Once Upon A Time (ABC)
  • The Real Housewives of Atlanta (BRAVO)
  • Suburgatory (ABC)
  • Happy Endings (ABC)
  • Archer (FX)
Secondary
  • Big Bang Theory (CBS)
  • American Dad (FOX)
  • Ringer (CW)
  • 30 Rock (NBC)
  • Up All Night (NBC)
  • Portlandia (IFC)
  • Grimm (NBC)
Reserves
  • House (FOX)
  • Gossip Girl (CW)
  • Being Erica (SOAPNET)
  • Vampire Diaries (CW)
  • It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia (FX)
  • White Collar (USA)
  • Burn Notice (USA)
  • Psych (USA)
  • Modern Family (ABC)
I also might talk about some shows that I start on Netflix that are no longer airing.  For example, I started Nip/Tuck, but the series ended several years ago.  Netflix has a nice collection of shows that can either catch you up on current shows or others that you might have missed.  I recommend it for anyone who likes regularly watching TV or movies.

Stayed tuned for posts about what I'm watching lately!
